Karen Michaels sits on the over-sized front porch with a chicken on her lap talking about her new life in Mooresville. On occasion the conversation is interrupted as she gives βLittle Birdβ a drink from a water glass. βSheβs my shadow,β said Karen.
βRoom was gorgeous and very comfortable.
Actually -the whole facility was just great!β

βA lovely couple owns and operates the beautiful home with many antique pieces but up to date bathroom and kitchenette in the suite. Beautiful common kitchen to eat in with daily breakfast cooked by John. Did get to walk the grounds with John and Karen to see the chicken coop and a new cottage being completed. Wonderful experience. Plan repeat visit next year.β

The owners were attentive but respected our need for privacy and rest. The house is lovely, the hot tub was luxurious, and the bed was very comfortable.

βThe owners, John and Karen, make you feel right at home. We stayed in a small suite on the ground floor. There is a formal dining room but breakfasts are in the "to-die-for" kitchen. It is worth a stay just to see this kitchen that John and Karen put to good use.β
βJohn and Karen were absolutely delightful.
My wife and I will definitely be going back!β

Santa and Mrs. Claus made a special visit to the Silly Chicken Lodge in Mooresville giving children in the community the opportunity to chat and share their wish lists with them.
After pictures, hugs and a candy cane, courtesy of Mrs. Claus, the families were invited to the lodgeβs kitchen where they could enjoy hot chocolate and cookies served by some additional elves helping the Claus couple.
βKaren and Bear met us at the door when we pulled in and gave us a tour of the B&B, as well as introductions to all of the chickens that are very obviously loved! The house was gorgeous and very clean, Karen and John (and Yogi Bear!) are great. The Continental breakfast was followed by sipping coffee on the deck and watching the birds and chickens. We will most definitely be back!β

βThe wonderful breakfast is right in the eat-in kitchen with fresh eggs courtesy of the friendly chickens out in the back yard. We will return next time in the area and recommend the lodge to all.β
